Hey everyone! As we eagerly await the 135th Tournament of Roses, something truly magical is happening in Irwindale. Volunteers at Fiesta Floats are pouring their hearts and souls into creating some of the most stunning floats you’ll ever see. And let me tell you, it’s a sight to behold!
A Race Against Time
With the Rose Parade just around the corner, volunteers are working tirelessly, racing against the clock to get their floats ready for the big day. The final judging is looming, and the excitement is palpable.
The Art of Float Making
At Fiesta Floats’ facility, where five magnificent floats are taking shape, volunteers are engaging in some seriously intricate work. According to Kelly Bishop, a dedicated volunteer, the level of detail involved is astounding. “We sometimes use tweezers, toothpicks, and even dental instruments to place each seed perfectly,” she shares. It’s the kind of meticulous craftsmanship that might not be fully appreciated on TV, but up close, it’s absolutely awe-inspiring.
A Musical Celebration
This year’s theme? Celebrating the world of music! Imagine the floats, each a masterpiece, echoing this vibrant theme. The judging, set to take place just a day before the parade, is sure to be a tough call with such creativity on display.
Join the Team!
And guess what? They’re still on the lookout for more helping hands! If you’ve ever wanted to be part of this incredible experience, now’s your chance. Fiesta Floats is welcoming more volunteers to join in the final stretch of float building. It’s not just about building floats; it’s about being part of a community and creating something truly special.
